Family Run Since 1977

Mother Nature Tree Service started in 1977 and has been working the same valley ever since. Nearly fifty years in one place is not a marketing line, it is a track record.

The trees we pruned twenty years ago are trees we still drive past, and the people we worked for back then send their kids to us now.

The company is owned and run by Robbie Whitacre. It is still a family business, still based in Clarke County, and still small enough that the person who gives you the estimate is connected to the crew that shows up.

Call the office at (540) 514-7906 and tell us what the tree is doing.

Who Shows Up

The Men on the Truck

Same crew, job after job. Nobody gets in the bucket who has not been taught the cut, and every man on the ground is in a helmet with the ropes rigged before the first section comes off.

Insured Both Ways

General liability and workers compensation, both in force. Certificate sent before we start if you want to see it.

Rigged Before the Cut

Helmets, harnesses and rigging on every job, no exceptions. Nothing comes off the tree until the ropes are set.

Our Own Iron

Bucket truck, chipper, grapple and skid steer on our own trucks. Nothing gets rented and nothing waits on a subcontractor.

Straight Answers

If a tree can be saved we will say so. If it needs to come out we will say that too, and we will tell you when what you asked for would hurt the tree.

The Words on the Steel

Painted on the Boom

Slingin’ Big Wood Since ’77 is not a slogan somebody wrote for us. It is paint on the side of a working truck, and it has been on every truck this company has run.

You will see it come up your driveway before you see it anywhere else. That is the point of it.

The cab doors carry one more piece of lettering, a decal that reads Pappy, 1947 to 2018. His name rides on the doors of every truck this company runs.

Before We Leave

What We Run, Where We Go, When We Answer

Plenty of outfits cut a tree down and leave you the mess. That has never been how this works.

Having the right machine on site is what lets a big removal happen in a day instead of a week, and it is why the cleanup is actually finished when we pull out. The wood and brush go on our truck and the ground gets raked before anybody leaves.

We work out of Berryville and across Clarke and Frederick County, into Winchester, Front Royal, Stephens City, Middletown, Boyce and White Post. Somebody answers the phone 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Estimates are free, and you get a firm price in writing before anybody starts a saw.
